oh hey, little miss 9 months old.?!

you have changed so much in just one short month!
you now crawl. i tried to  keep you immobile for as long as i could. (true story)

and surprise, surprise. you are in.to.everything! everything.

we have had a few battles, you and i about staying away from the fireplace. the force is strong in you, but trust me i will win that fight. (safety first, my dear)

you have such a look of joy and determination in your eyes. those attributes will take you far in life.

oh, and you have put on 4 lbs in about 6 weeks//way to go! you needed it.

you love food. real food, not baby food from a jar. (so i make your baby food/ super easy and cheap!) you love cooked carrots, sweet potatoes, avocados, bananas, apples, and your absolute favorite are cheez-its. In fact you have brand recognition already. when you see the box you grunt and slam your little hands down. no one is allowed to eat them with out giving you some (crushed up into microscopic pieces of course) 

you say: ba-ba, ma-ma, da-da, yaw-yaw ( lyla), and hi.  

one last thing, my love. you are so cute, so very cute. your cuteness is distracting people at church, so if you want to stay in service with me, take the cuteness down one notch :)

Well lyla girl, you are 8 months old.

You can almost sit up by yourself and don't crawl. I'm cool with you not being mobile, honestly I am not ready for you to get into everything (which I know you will ) so go ahead and stay put for a month or two longer.

you love your bottle. love.

you still suck your two fingers like a little rock star.

I thought maybe, just maybe, you would be a veggie lover. WRONG! you like even less veggies than your siblings. You can't stand carrots and turn your head away.

You are tiny. You only weight a little over 15 lbs.

You can say: "mama" "dada" and "ba-ba"

You sleep 8:30 pm to 8:30 am.

You like to snuggle and be held. Actually you like to held all the time, like all the time. If your awake, I am most likely holding you. If fact I am holding you right now.

you are such a treat and a joy! I have a feeling I am going to miss you being a baby the most.

well lyla girl,

you are 6 months old!.?!

we call you mrs. spoils because your spoiled rotten. you like to be held.all.day.long. i am not even exaggerating when i say that. if you are not asleep you are being held. sometimes you will play in the bouncy seat or jumper for a total of 5 minutes before you start fake crying and hold your hands up in the air for someone to pick you up. you immediately stop crying as soon as someone starts walking  in your direction... because you know your plan worked.

you are seriously the most happy baby!! you bring such joy. and your joy in contagious.

you look so much like elisabeth as a baby is makes me a little sad because it is a reminder of how quickly you will grow up. so i am going to soak up every moment and hold you 10 + hours out of the day because i know soon you will be grown and i will long for that little dark haired beauty who used to sit in my lap.
