A Special Thank You to my Customers

I was telling my friend the other day, “I don’t have the luxury of falling apart right now.” Honestly, sometimes I feel so unbelievably overwhelmed with midterms, divorce court, and work. But when things get hard, that’s when you really realize how strong you can be. I was so afraid to leave my husband and thought for sure that Reclaimed Wreckage wouldn’t have the means to support us…. I was wrong…… and it’s only going to get better.

I just wanted to sincerely thank everyone for your support. I have the best customers, family, friends, and have come into contact with some of the most amazing people. I’ve been told countless times (especially by my ex) to quit Reclaimed Wreckage and get a “real job” but every time I get feedback from you guys or emails from repeat customers, I don’t think quitting is an option. ► The process of making each bag first starts with sourcing the materials. When a facility can not repair an inner tube, they donate it to Reclaimed Wreckage for recycling. I clean, disinfect, manufacture and draft each pattern for a completely unique finished product.

► I use as many reclaimed components as I can in each bag, including the linings, and any hardware used. Every bag is One-of-a-kind because of the vintage materials used. You may see small imperfections and wearing caused from the original material. This is part of the charm of the designs and adds to the fact that your bag has a history previous to you owning it! It's a great way to help to support sustainable approaches.

Lady, a perfectly identified armchair

When i first saw this amrchair, sitting on the corner of a furniture booth at the most famous International furniture fair in Milan, my words were :"this armchair its gonna be mine!" , and i immediately pictured 4 or 5 places in my home where it would easily rock its way into my mixture of modern antique furniture and decor pieces. This armchair was fascinating...so simple but so stylish and contemporary with a slight feminine touch. That is when i thought that Lady was the perfect name for it, with its sensuality and smoothness reminding me of those classical paintings where female bodies were pictured generous and elegant.

Designed in 1951 by the acclaimed designer Marco Zanuso and manufactured by Arflex, this armchair keeps a retro look but melts perfectly with modern design concepts . Marco Zanuso and Arflex started working together during the IX Triennale of Milano in 1951 and this armchair was their first products. It immediately catched the attention of the people and were awarded Gold medal.

Albero modern cuckoo clock

Our Albero has walked such a long way since it was born...well it is not really ours, but we like to feel like we adopted it. Nobody has ever really believed in it since we put it on the front line, captivating by its organic design, its modern accent and its simple but intelligent bird. The color choice was also a winning combination: wenge wood with white tree design which pop out like a splash of color exhalted by the orange arms, or ebonized wood (a darker version almost black) with a bright orange tree design and white arms.

Most of our customer would feel threaten by the bird..would it keep me awake at night ? No it wont. The bird has a mind on its own but it follow the rules, and at night he prefer to sleeps. If during the day it keeps boring you , you can always switch it off, or lower its volume.
