devotional wednesday.

patience. I pride my self on being a patient person...but I guess you know the saying pride comes before the fall. I lost it yesterday...lost my patience with my small children. Usually I can draw from deep with in and compose myself before I act...but yesterday was not that day. I came to the conclusion afterwards on  why I don't like being rude, or impatient, or  short with people...it is a bitter and gross feeling after you have done it. I know I have done it  before and mostly likely I will do it again. I guess If you want to learn real patience become a parent...right?

Afterwards I felt a small gentle reminder of how patience God is with us/me ... how many times he has asked us over and over to do something and we don't. How many times had he asked us to change or to let go and we don't. Yet he never loses his patience...his love never fails

Praise the Lord! He is good.
    God’s love never fails.
Praise the God of all gods.
    God’s love never fails.
Praise the Lord of lords.
    God’s love never fails
psalms 136: 1-3

Colossians 1:11-12  May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light
